At our Nokia World event today in Abu Dhabi, we introduced a number of new phones, including three large-screen devices to our Lumia family and three new Nokia Asha devices, $5 million USD in rewards available through our DVLUP rewards program, and introduced Nokia Developer Offers.
New big-screen Lumias
As part of today’s announcement, the Nokia Lumia family has grown in numbers and in size with the addition of the Nokia Lumia 2520, the first Windows 8.1 RT tablet from Nokia. At the same time we have introduced two new devices with 6” displays: the Nokia Lumia 1520 with 1080p resolution, and Nokia Lumia 1320 with 720p resolution.
Nokia was incredibly excited to participate in this year’s Microsoft Build conference. We had a great time making new friends, seeing familiar faces, and discussing the opportunities around Windows Phone.
Next week, we are hosting invitation-only training on the new Nokia Asha software platform 1.0 at our headquarters in Finland. If you will not be joining us in person, you are invited to join us online. There will be two deep-dive sessions covering the Nokia Asha UI. Both sessions will be presented by UX expert Jan Krebber, and both sessions will be broadcast live from the training sessions held at Nokia House in Espoo. We will have a dedicated online host, so any questions you ask during the session will be answered.
You can attend either of these 3-hour deep dive webinars separately, but you will learn more if you attend both. And don’t worry, Jan will provide a break half-way through each three-hour session!
Attending WIMA NFC Monaco on 10-12 April? Then visit our booth, hear us speak, and join us for a special Nokia Developer workshop on Nokia Lumia near field communications (NFC). You could win one of the special prizes we’ll be giving away. And you can enjoy some of the special developer discounts we’re offering for WIMA admission.
