There is an x86 emulator, called Pyemu.
Here is the link:
Can anyone make it working on Nokia?
Or even better make a sis?
I need to run ms-dos (and to be working fast, not as jpc), because i will use my nokia e61 to run some dos programs that are communicating with some topografic stations (GIS). I could transfer the data to my phone and make the calculations in my phone.
I don't know if you understand what i am saying.
Wouldn't Python on a phone be too slow for this? It's a highlevel interpreted language after all.
Maybe you should look for a DOS emulator for S60 written in C++, but I'm not sure it there were any.
Futhermore, PyEmu seems to be an X86 instruction level emulator. It is nowhere close to be able to read DOS binaries, interpret BIOS and DOS calls, provide emulated versions of common hardware components found on PCs (such as storage devices, timers, keyboard, graphics output...) Did you plan to do all that yourself?
No, unfortunately no.
I don't know much about programming.
I am civil engineer and i would like to do it, but i don't have free time for it.
