How I can use autofocus on S60 v9.4?
I found midule fastcamera (http://handheld.softpedia.com/progDo...oad-72896.html), but it no for S60 v9.4.
There are other methods?
Please, help me port fastcamera module to Symbian v9.4!
I don't know how do it...
Euhm, interesting that that module can be found there ... Anyway, for 5th edition use:
https://www.iyouit.eu/portal/softwar...ra_3rd_fp2.sis For Python 1.4 and
https://www.iyouit.eu/portal/softwar...3rd_fp2_25.sis For Python 2.0
Both are unsigned with UIDs from the test range. Oh, and these URLs are subject to change ...
Original SIS files, docs and sources can be found https://www.iyouit.eu/portal/Software.aspx, but keep in mind that for now those are only for Python 1.4 (Ports to Python 2.0 and/or Symbian 5th edition do exist, but haven't been released yet)
Hi, I already answered your email before reading this post. But for the wider audience: the https://www.iyouit.eu/portal/softwar...3rd_fp2_25.sis URL points to a Python 2.0.0 version that should work on 5th edition devices (we use it on those devices).
(The _25 suffix comes from the main Python 2.5 version the S60 Python 2.0.0 is based on, back from when they were still at 1.9.x and we ported the module)
I'm trying to use the fastcamera module but i can't get it to work. Is there documentation for it or a sample of code?
I got it, but I can't get it to work properly on my Nokia N8. The Viewfinderscript doesn't work and I can't seem to make any pictures larger than 640,480.
I'm not a python coder so I can't figure out what's wrong as I get no errors.
I'm using python commandline "run a script" on my Nokia N8, is that how it's done?
how do I make the viewfinder.py file so that it will flash before it takes a picture?
and how can I get it to use the max resolution of my N8 (4000*3000)?
I can't figure how to use fastcamera from the examples given.
into the size you want.Code:fastcamera.prepare_take_photo(self.camtouse, mode='RGB16', size=(640, 480))
should do the trickCode:self.camtouse.set_flash('auto')
Unfortunately, I believe that fastcamera is panicking with code KERN-EXEC 3 (according to Panic Observer):
http://library.forum.nokia.com/index...xecPanics.html"This panic is raised when an unhandled exception occurs. Exceptions have many
causes, but the most common are access violations caused, for example, by
dereferencing NULL. Among other possible causes are: general protection faults,
executing an invalid instruction, alignment checks, etc."
Another problem/symptom is that after crashing and restarting my app the viewfinder is rotated 90°. When this happens, no pictures are captured. I receive the following exception when trying to set the picture resolution:I think the only way to prevent this panic from crashing my app is to correct the underlying problem in fastcamera's source (if that's really the source of the problem). If that's not the case, can anyone give me advice on how to solve this?<type 'exceptions.ValueError'>, Size not supported for camera
