I am unable to install the Nokia Connectivity CableDriver.
In WinXP with SP2.
The install wizzard stops before it is finished, and say that it was interrupted before the driver could be completely installed.
I installed it yesterday. Do not connect the cabe until you have installed the driver!!!
Then you won´t get problems. I got Nokia 7610 and there was no problem to install the dku 2 and sp2 for xp i installed 1 week ago.
I know that I have to install the driver first,
I also installed it ok on my other XP-system, that don't have the SP2.
I never got that far on the XP-system with SP2, as to connect the cable, because I was not able to install the driver.
The DKU cable driver install doesn't properly determine the Operating System type and version. It thinks that my Windows 2003 Standard Edition is a Windows XP (without service packs)
and stops at the beginning with message that I need to have at least Service Pack 1 installed.
Does anyone know how to get this driver installed?
Or does anyone have the uncompressed version of these drivers so that I can just point the device installer to the uncompressed DKU cable driver?
Official answer from a call to Nokia will tell you Windows XP SP2 is not supported. Up to SP1 if the official support on the DKU-2, but PC Suite 6.x (I think uo to 6.4) does not even fully "officially" support XP SP1 yet, but works usually with no problem.
