I already install :
1. Active Perl.
2. JRE 1.3.1
3. Series 60 1.2 SDK for Symbian OS, Nokia Edition
I am try to use application wizzard on my VC6 just to build the application. I follow the readme, just copying *.awx and *.hlp to my VC6 directory.
I can use the wizzard, and after I pressed the finish button, my VC6 will be freeze/hang, i know the read me said "it will take some times" during creating the project, but its hang !!!
how to solve this problem ?
I am also using console to build the application for VC6, but there is an error too when I execute this command :
"abld build wins udeb"
I got this error :
C:\SYMBIAN PROJECT\helloworld\group>abld build wins udeb
nmake -nologo -f "\Symbian\6.1\Series60\EPOC32\BUILD\SYMBIAN\6.1\SERIES60\SERI
ES60EX\HELLOWORLD\GROUP\EXPORT.make" EXPORT VERBOSE=-s
'nmake' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
Perhaps you have space in your directory name, for example "Hello World". Do not put any space in the directory nor file name, so use "HelloWorld" instead. Symbian does not recognize space in file naming.
1. Install Active Perl
2. Install JRE
3. Install SDK
From a command prompt, do the following:
Change to the SDK directory <path>\epoc32ex\HelloWorld.
Type bldmake bldfiles.
Type abld makefile vc6.
This creates the VC++ workspace HelloWorld.dsw in the directory: <path>\epoc32\build\<path>\epoc32ex\HelloWorld\HelloWorld\wins. This file can then be opened in VC++ and built by pressing F7, or by selecting the Build | Build HELLOWORLD.APP from the IDE menu.
For a command line debug emulator build, change the abld command to:
Type abld build wins udeb
The application is now built into the emulator's z:\system\apps\HelloWorld directory, and can be run from the emulator's UI.
For a command line release build to a real phone, change the abld command to:
Type abld build armi urel
The application's files are now built into the <path>\epoc32\release\armi\urel directory, and can be downloaded to a real phone.
