Apologies if this question has been asked before - I've searched the forum and haven't found anything, so here goes.
I am displaying a custom-filtered list of bluetooth devices for the user to select from. This works fine, but I would like to enhance it by visually indicating which devices are already paired with the phone. Is there a way of detecting this having retrieved the BT address? I'm using the 7.0s Series 60 2.1 SDK.
I would also like to be able to initiate pairing if the user selects a remote device that isn't already paired with the phone (the remote device will be a PC, probably running Windows XP). I tried sending a null Obex object (using the btobjectexchange example), but I get "send error -6" when I try to send to a PC. It works if I try to send a file, but at the point I want to do this, I don't have a file to send.
I've only been developing for bluetooth for a couple of weeks, so please keep any responses simple.
