I installed 2nd edition Feature Pack 2 SDK and I am trying to get started with it using MS Visual Studio 2003. This is new tool for me, previously I used CodeWarrior and VC6 only.
I can generate *.sln and *.vcproj successully using both "abld makefile vc7" and "makmake helloworldbasic.mmp vc7". I can open *.sln file in visual studio, but then, when I try to open one of the source files by clicking on it I always get "The operation coud not be completed"!
Don't know if its related, but when I try using epocswitch I always get "Failed to execute devices...". Probably devices are not in the path
Ok, the reason seems to be that my MSVC++ and the whole system is iinstalled on the F: drive, but Symbian SDK on D: drive. If I manually add pathes to the *.vcproj IDE is able to find the files.
Maybe this is the reason of the problem with the epocswitch also.
Still, quite strange problem.
Does anybody have an idea how to fix it without reinstalling the SDK?
After all SDKs somehow work on substed drives. Did I miss some important installation step?
