According to the NSM spec (Ver 3.0), it looks like it is possible to have an NSM OTA bitmap that is animated. There are 4 bits in the Infofield byte that can be set in order to indicate an animation. The spec appears to be very vague on how and when this is used. Do any animated OTA bitmaps exists ?. I've looked at the NSM FAQ but the example has the infofield set to 00 - like most of the messages I have been playing with. Does anyone have any information or know where I can get information on this part of the infofield ?
Cheers, and thanks again,
RE: Infofield Byte In OTA Bitmap
"Sending Content over SMS to Nokia Phones, Ver 1.0" (under Messaging: Smart Messaging: Documents) provide slightly more information about the way in which the infofield should be used when sending CLI logos, operator logos and picture messages. Unfortunately not much reference to animated images (except for the then-current lack of support).
