If you follow the Operator logo syntax in the Smart Messaging Specification 3.0.0 you need two SMSs to send one Operator logo message. You can send the logo using only one SMS if you make smaller logo, for example 72 x 13 pixels.
Another way is the "unofficial" syntax wich is commonly used by the service providers. All Operator logo supported Nokia phones (at least 6210 and olders) can receive Operator logo message which has shorter user data header. The syntax is such a short that full size (72 x 14 pixels) Operator logo message fits in one SMS.

Comparing the syntax above to the syntax in the Smart Messaging Specification 3.0 you can see that &lt;version number&gt; and &lt;line feed&gt; are missing. That's why the header is shorter and the message fits in one SMS.
