Accessing isolated storage when testing Windows Phone projects
This article explains how to access isolated storage files when testing Windows Phone projects
When developing applications you often need to verify that certain files are created or changed correctly. Windows Phone operates on the "Isolated Storage" principle, where such files are protected from 3rd party access.
The easiest way to access and view the Isolated Storage files during development is to either develop the verification as part of your application, or use a 3rd party tool.
Arguably the most powerful such tools are the Windows Phone Power Tools. They allow you to explore the IsolatedStorage of all your Apps deployed directly to the device without adding any additional code that would have to be managed. The advantage over the IsoStoreExplorer Tool included with the Windows Phone SDK is that it offers a GUI.
