You create Nokia Asha web apps using Nokia Asha web app tools 3.0. Based on Eclipse, Nokia Asha web app tools build on the powerful web development features of the Eclipse Web Tools Platform to create the Web Developer Environment (WDE). WDE includes features to create, edit, validate, test, package, and deploy Nokia Asha web apps. Testing is supported by the Web App Simulator (WAS) that enables web apps to be run and tested on a computer. WAS includes an implementation of Web Inspector, so you can perform debugging and examine of a web app's content and performance. Step 1 — Check the system requirements
Check that you have a Microsoft Windows powered computer with the following:
- Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8.
- 1 GB of RAM.
- Pentium 4-level processor.
- 350 Mb of free disk space.

Step 2 — Install Nokia Asha web app tools
Nokia Asha web app tools is available for download from the Nokia Developer website here.
On the Nokia Asha web app tools download page you will see options to download versions for:
- Microsoft Windows.
- 32-bit Linux (Ubuntu 10.04).
- Apple Mac OS X.
Select the appropriate package and click Download.
