We haven’t rested on our laurels since launching the Nokia X family of devices in February. To the contrary, we know the devices themselves are just the beginning – a platform’s success is dependent on the developers who build atop it. So we wanted to familiarize you with a few tools and resources to help you build for X.

First up is the Compatibility Analysis Tool. The analyzer, as we like to call it, is the incredibly easy way to test your existing Android apps for Nokia X compatibility. Just go to the analyzer page, drag and drop your .apk file onto the outlined area, and within minutes your app will be analyzed for compatibility. What’s even better is that most apps just work. To date, over 75% of all Android apps are ready to publish to Nokia X with no modifications necessary. Give it a try – it’s free, it’s easy, and it’s the first step to a new user base just waiting to discover your apps.

Next are Webinars. We’re continuing our ongoing series with five sessions this week covering porting and publishing to Nokia X and the growing area of Healthcare apps. All of our previous Webinars are also available on-demand via both YouTube and Slideshare for learning and reference anytime, anywhere. On-demand Webinars provide the complete experience just as it was originally broadcast, with expert commentary from our presenters that you can pause and rewind/fast forward as needed. Or, learn at your own pace on our Slideshare channel. Slideshare presents the information without any audio track so you can get exactly what you need at the speed that works best for you.

And last but certainly not least is our new SDK! Nokia Services SDK 1.1 is live. This update brings a host of new features you’ll want to leverage, and of course it’s absolutely free to use.

You don’t even need to register to get your hands on Nokia Services SDK 1.1. Just download the SDK here and get straight to developing.

Stay tuned for more Nokia X news in the coming weeks. Be sure to bookmark the event calendar and check regularly to stay abreast of upcoming conferences, Webinars and other developer events.
