    Re: New Calling All Innovators

You wanted some feedback so I'll write some comments:

What is innovative in yet another photo browser? That you can group the photos by dragging? In my opinion for example Nokia Photo Browser is...
  6. Re: Distributing Windows application inside SIS file

Thanks for the comments. I have considered the alternatives you proposed as well, but in this case the Windows installer is 200 kilobytes only and sis file for the client 15 kilobytes. So with the...
  7. Re: How to play wmv file using CVideoPlayerUtility?

Windows Media formats are not supported by any Nokia devices. Of course you can implement/port your own WMV/WMA codecs and streaming protocols to S60, but even so you can not use CVideoPlayerUtility...
  8. Distributing Windows application inside SIS file

I have created a client/server application, where the client is a native S60 application and server is a MS Windows application. Each user needs to install the server locally to their computer. Can I...

    Re: Streaming Video over Bluetooth

This should be doable using CBluetoothSocket, CMMFDevVideoPlay and CMdaAudioOutputStream. Not an easy task though. I have implemented a similar system over WiFi instead of bluetooth and see no reason...

Re: Camera and Microphone Work Together

Yes it does. Look at classes like CCamera and CMdaAudioRecorderUtility / CMdaAudioInputStream to start with.

Re: how to play m4v video files ???

I can play .m4v files on N95 with no problems. I assume your file contains MPEG-4 video in MP4 file container? Check that the profile and levels used for MPEG-4 encoding are supported by S60 devices.
  16. Re: where can I get some code example using CMMFDevVideoRecord?

Please look at media recorder API. It should provide the functionality you need.

Re: how to covert YUV420 to RGB on symbian? thanks

I disagree with this. You can use CMMFDevVideoPlay (included in public API plug-in pack) to do the colorspace conversion. But this API is not well documented so I wouldn't necessarily recommend to...

    Re: Calling All Innovators

Any update on this? I would also like to submit a client/server application. My application requires high bandwidth network, therefore using it locally would be better option than over internet.

I am also trying to use the CMMFCodec for AAC decoding, but haven't got very far yet. First problem is that cmmfcodec.h file is missing from my SDK (3rd ed FP1). I copied this from some 2nd ed SDK,...
