    That sounds good. How do you initialise a TPtr8 in the class constructor as the HBuf I wish it to point to has not been created yet?

    Just a quick suggestion - are you sure that the mbm file you are using contains a mask with the correct colour depth etc?
    Have you tried using an MBM that you know works - such as one from the Nokia...

    Using TBuf8 seems to work ok. Also it seems to work using RBuf8.

    However overall I would prefer to use a heap based descriptor. RBuf8 should work as it is heap based...
