Re: Activate / Deactivate Call Waiting

Thanks for the header file. I found EMobilePhoneSetCallWaitingStatus listed as one of the enums in ETELMMCS.H. Could someone point me in the right direction on how to use this? thanks.

Re: Activate / Deactivate Call Waiting

I can't find more information about etelmm.h other than it being a restricted header and that I would need to be a partner to use it. Does anyone else have a clearer answer? I only need to enable...

    Activate / Deactivate Call Waiting

How can I activate/deactivate call waiting through code? I initially tried by dialling with the Telephony API but that doesn't work. Looking around for any articles about network service requests but...

    Re: Audio Routing on E50

I'll look at your code. From my initial look at the code, it seems that it deals with call audio only but I could be mistaken. I'm routing audio playback from a sound file.

Re: Retrieve Network Operator Time Details

Nope, that's not an option in this instance.

    Retrieve Network Operator Time Details

Is it possible to get the current network's time and timezone information? The application I'm making demands accurate time so relying on the phone's time isn't an option. I know that you can set the...

    Re: Audio Routing on E50

I see. I looked as the plugins of the initial release and all I could find was the Audio Proxy Server. Would that allow me to do audio routing? Also, does upgrading the firmware also update the...

    Audio Routing on E50

My client tells me that routing audio to the earpiece does not work on the application I sent him. He's using an E50 while I'm using an E51. I noticed that the E50 was released (2006) before the...

    Re: Restrict data access

My company is willing to sign up as a Symbian Partner to avail of that API. But before that, I need to make sure that what we want is feasible as to not waste money.

    Given access to all required...

    Re: Restrict data access

Ignore the fact that the device can be reformatted for a moment since this will be a self-moderated thing to prevent people from accidentally accessing their data services without meaning to. What do...

    Restrict data access

Is there a way to create an application which calls a web service to check and restrict what data is allowed to be used on the phone? I want to restrict specific services like e-mail only or surfing...

    Audio Playback through Earpiece

Is it possible to play back sounds using the phone's earpiece (not the speakers)? If not, I'll settle with playing back audio at a very low volume using the speakers. A point in the right direction...
  14. Re: Implement CallsMonitor example in a CServer2 app.

I know it would be safer but right now, the etel library is the only one that would allow me to hangup a call that my application did not make. I have no choice but to use it or maybe contact nokia...
  15. Re: Implement CallsMonitor example in a CServer2 app.

Thanks. I got it working now. I'll contact Nokia in case they end up removing support for etel.lib or make it unavailable to the public sdk.
  16. Re: Implement CallsMonitor example in a CServer2 app.

I thought Etel is no longer supported for Symbian 3rd Ed? Examples on Etel seem a bit scarce. I tried implementing a snippet that I found but it crashed my application.

  17. Re: Implement CallsMonitor example in a CServer2 app.

Thanks for the heads up. I figured out what was wrong. I have another issue though. I am unable to hangup the phone when it's dialing (manual dial, not DialNewCall()). I don't know how I'll get the...
  18. Re: Implement CallsMonitor example in a CServer2 app.

Thanks. Unfortunately, I jumped to the wrong conclusion and my CallsMonitor implementation isn't working. Apparently, it was my network that was disconnecting my call.

    Here are some code snippets...
  19. Re: Implement CallsMonitor example in a CServer2 app.

I love you and I got it working. I have another question though.

When I call CTelephony::Hangup(), I am able to disconnect the call but the number that I typed in stays. is there a way to clear...

Re: Autostart the server in a client-server

    Yes, I have.
  21. Re: Implement CallsMonitor example in a CServer2 app.

Okay I will. On another note, how will I be able to pop-up a dialog box inside my CServer2?
  22. Re: Implement CallsMonitor example in a CServer2 app.

I see. I have a follow up question.

My CServer2 class is also using the CActiveScheduler to wait for events from sessions from a client app. will that cause problems since CallsMonitor also uses...
  23. Implement CallsMonitor example in a CServer2 app.

I'm a bit stuck with regards to declaring and instantiating the CallsMonitor object inside my application.

The CallsMonitor can be located as sample code in the wiki on how to monitor calls.

Re: Autostart the server in a client-server

This gives me an "Unable to install" message.

    My server UID is 2xxxxxx3.
    My client UID is 2xxxxxx4.

If it helps, I am using seperate MMPs for the server and the client and my bld.inf file...
