Re: Symbian Signed seems to be broken....

Have managed to extract some response from Symbian Signed via email.

They seem to say that they were doing something to the site at the time we submitted an app - except it was before any...

Symbian Signed seems to be broken....

The Symbian Signed site seems to be broken

Specifically it seems unable to deliver Express Signed applications.

We have now waited for over 24 hrs for an app signed status to move from...
  3. Re: The Express signed status is always "Confirmed"

We have exactly the same status on 2 of our apps.

The apps have been submitted for 'Signing' - via Express Signing.
The status is, has been and remains 'Confirmed' - whatever that may mean.
    We...
  4. Re: When will standard C/C++ be supported...

Can you tell us in what capacity you are operating when saying std C/C++ will 'never' be supported ? This appears to contradict earlier statements - is this newly formulated policy from somewhere ?

  5. Re: When will standard C/C++ be supported...

    Thaks for the pointer.

Weve added our 10p worth to the discussion.

Would also encourage all developers that need c/c++ support to follow the link + vote

    Cannot register Symbian3 SDK v1.0

Our 'free' usage of the Symbian3 SDK v1.0 has recently elapsed so attempting to obtain a serial number via the
    'Symbian3 SDK v1.0 Registration Wizard'.

    It fails miserably.

    i) it does not/ is...
  7. When will standard C/C++ be supported...

Whilst C# is very pretty, we have alot of tried, tested, debugged, deployed s/w in regular, normal standard C/C++ - It does not need any 'melt the batteries', reformat the SIM, reboot the phone,...
  8. Re: Publishers helping Nokia to streamline QA process

Sorry to contradict you Ron but thats simply not the case.

    i) the apps were originally accepted.
ii) for the upgrade of 3 card games, 1 was accepted and 2 failed within about 1 day of each other....
  9. Re: Publishers helping Nokia to streamline QA process

    Hi

Appreciate that deselsecting the countries is one route forwards but that does not really make much sense to us in our case.

From what we can tell the product has been failed simply because...
  10. Re: Ovi QA testers seem to think they dictate the app functionality...

Weve already done that and are awaiting the result as weve got bored waiting for QA to get around to providing any clarification.
  11. Re: Ovi QA testers seem to think they dictate the app functionality...

Afraid we cant really tell what Nokias thinking is at this stage - we are currently unable to obtain a response from their QA + the PublisherSupport people are also still awaiting a response from...
  12. Re: Publishers helping Nokia to streamline QA process

I second/third/fourth or whereever I am in the list this.

QA also need to be a bit more precise on what items have failed and where.
For example we have 2 apps that have failed due to something...
  13. Re: Ovi QA testers seem to think they dictate the app functionality...

    Hi all

We delayed anwering in the hope that the Ovi QA people would be considerate enough to get back to us with the requested clarification on the issue, however since they appear to be unable to...
  14. Ovi QA testers seem to think they dictate the app functionality...

One of our apps has recently failed the Ovi QA for a reason we have yet to fully understand.

It appears that an Ovi QA tester has decided that one of our apps should have a bit of functionality...

    Re: Revenue share

Some additional questions if I may

    i) will it be possible to limit payment options, e.g. not support payment by operator billing as we have no real interest in simply enriching operators at our...
  16. Re: Toolbar background display difference between emul + device

    Hi,

Thanks for info. Yes we are aware that the SDK is a bit behind/different a real 5800, hence why testing on device is so important!.

Our problem is that the issue shows itself on a different...
  17. Toolbar background display difference between emul + device

There is a significant difference between the 5th edition 0.9 emulator and real 5800 device around the display of toolbars, or more particularly the toolbar background, even if you dont have...
  18. Re: Problems with application Icons on 5800 device

    Hi

Thanks for following this up, acknowledging bug + suggesting a workaround. Whilst obviously not ideal at least we know what to do to allievate the problem.

  19. Re: Problems with application Icons on 5800 device

    Ok, thanks.

Weve been playing around and not found any specific thing that seems to cause/fix the problem.

We do observe potentially 2 different issues with the icons.
    i) the black streaks...

  21. Problems with application Icons on 5800 device

There appears to be a problem with the SVG (app icon) renderer on real 5800 devices.

We have - as far as we can tell - correct SVG application icon files.

These app icons work on all S60 3rd...

    Re: Available fonts on e65

    Available fonts on e65

It appears that the set of fonts on the e65 is not the same as other devices, such as 5500, e50, e60, e61, e70, n73, n95.

Since there is supposed to be a platform approach to life surely the basic...
