Re: raccoon-0.9.2: month wrong in /logs application

Thanks very much, I really like the idea behind MWS and Raccoon.

Meanwhile I coded a "contacts" application for mod_python which uses the PyS60 API to access all fields of the phone's contact DB...

Re: raccoon-0.9.2: month wrong in /logs application

After fixing the "Out-Of-Site" messaging thing, another issue i've found is the /mws-messenger part of webapps.

Since I use only the in-path scheme (~ or @) and not the in-domain scheme, my...

Re: raccoon-0.9.2: month wrong in /logs application

    Ferenc,
thank you again for your reply.

I was reading the docs and if I understtod correctly it should work with in-path addressing (the ~ or @ scheme).

While inspecting the tomcat's logfile I...

    Johan and Ferenc,

Well, then is has to be a failure in my environment.

In fact, they do work on my side either. But of course they work only if the phone aka the user is "online". May I...

Re: raccoon-0.9.2: month wrong in /logs application

    Thanks Johan.

Is the "leave a message" link on bottom of the user's "Out-Of-Site" page supposed to work?

When using the gateway at http://www.at.openlaboratory.net:8080/<USERNAME> the link ist...

    Re: Change hostname

Sure is the hostname option defined in DHCP RFCs, and as you state (and I did before), it is the the job of the DHCP to accept a requested hostname or deny it and assign a self-choosen one.

    That...

raccoon-0.9.2: month wrong in /logs application

When using the /logs URL provided with raccoon-0.9.2, the date shown is off by one month.
It shows 21/5/2007 when it should be 21/6/2007 (assumimg we do have june already ;-)

    Re: Change hostname

Huh? My phone does not "speak" NetBIOS und thus does not have a "device name" by means of a hostname. Nor does my Linux box when I disable Samba. Or any other device which does not know anything...

    Re: Change hostname

IIRC that means, the Nokia device requests a hostname to be set by the DHCP Query (sending hostname "*") and your DHCP server does not assign one.

The MAC address _IS_ required for a...

    Re: Change hostname

As long as you do not have access to the involved DNS servers I see no chance of setting a unique hostname.

The DNS name of a device is constructed from it's IP address (called reverse DNS...

self-compiled gateway: I did it my way ;-))

    Hi,
    I made a custom-build of gw-GW_0_6_3.
I found some issues when running the tomcat server behind a SSL-enabled apache as well as other things.

    Config:
    Internet <--> apache-2.20 (https/443)...

    Re: Change hostname

What do you mean with hostname?
If your phone connects via WLAN, you either need to specify a fixed IP oder let assign one automatically via DHCP.
On both cases, a well-configured DNS server can...
