    What is the user experience of payments?

    I couldn't find a detailed description how the payment system works from the user perspective. I got impression that in some cases, it's added to a phone bill and handled by an operator (great...

    Re: Problem in compare values

    Are you sure that networkArray is properly constructed, i.e. have you debugged that KERN-EXEC 3 comes in Compare step?

    Re: tab control

    My approach is basically following, although I've abstracted actual code of tab handling to own ViewNavigation class, it eases object ownership etc:

    each view is responsible to ensure that...

    Re: About time zone

    It depends what you mean by id.

    If you mean Olson Timezone ID http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zoneinfo,
    RTz::GetTimeZoneIdL should give you that.

    Re: menu pane question

    BAFL 15 is common, if your resource files and RSG files are out of sync. Try to compile everything from scratch

    Re: Softkeys in landscape mode

    You are right. I don't really know what is a proper way to figure softkey placement. If you find a proper way, it would be great if you share it afterwards! I'll need it in near-future too.

    Re: How to set TAknsItemId

    You don't set them manually, but use already defined consts from aknconsts.h. For example, if you want to use skin item that describes skin used for whole screen, you use KAknsIIDQsnBgScreen.

    Re: tab control

    Check CAknNavigationControlContainer::Pop and PushL calls.

    In short, you create CAknNavigationDecorators containing CAknTabGroups either via resource file or programmatically. Each group describe...

    Re: Softkeys in landscape mode

    Can order of them change, I was under impression that it's fixed, so that for EAknCbaLocationLeft, LSK is always on bottom and RSK is on top.

    And for EAknCbaLocationRight likewise, LSK on bottom,...

    Re: Weird characters

    As I said, write own decorator.

    Create class:

    class CListDecorator : public CBase, public MDesCArray
    {
    ...
    TPtrC16 MdcaPoint(TInt aIndex) const
    {

    Re: menu pane question

    I have never tried to change menu items that way, so I don't really know what could be the problem. What error or panic it gives and have you debugged it through where it exactly crashes?

    Usually...

    Re: How to concatenate HBufC's text?

    Sneha1, HBufCs are for Unicode strings, so passing them blindly to methods that require unsigned char* might not be wise idea unless you know what you are doing. Does method that needs unsigned char*...

    Re: Weird characters

    If you want to use same model for both (and not copy data to different models), then implement your own simple decorator class, that derives from MDesCArray. Symbian Listboxes use MDesCArrays as...

    Re: svg icon mask

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but that doesn't look like true SVG image at all, only SVG framing around embedded bitmap. Did you draw image by hand in Illustrator or copy-pasted a bitmap to it?

    Re: svg icon mask

    c32 means that actual "image" part of svg graphic will be 32bit color.

    c24,8 means that "image" part is 24bit color, and mask is 8bit (grayscale)

    How do you introduce svg in makefile that creates mif files?

    Be sure to use something like, where 8bit mask is defined:

    Re: Scaling svg images in context pane

    Okay, your code seems reasonably ok, so I can't point any specific problem in it.

    However, it works for me, when I load SVG icon, I set size to TSize(0,0) (I don't know if this is needed, but...
