Re: Connecting to SE using MFStandardConnection

It could be that you don't have the right firmware on your phone and else I'm afraid I can't help you. To check firmware '*#0000#', if it does not say 5.11 you have the wrong firmware.

Re: Connecting to SE using MFStandardConnection

Maybe you should have a look in the MFStandardExampleMidlet.java in the examples folder of the 6131 SDK. They are statically declaring the MFKey. It could be that the MFStandardConnection...

Re: Connecting to SE using MFStandardConnection

    Hi,

to access the Mifare part of your secure element the mobile does not have to be unlocked and the midlet does not have to be signed. Are you using the correct keys? These are changed to default...

Re: Connecting to SE using MFStandardConnection

Please debug your midlet and check the API documentation for the function it will choke on. And use the "getMessage"-function from Exception.

Re: Connecting to SE using MFStandardConnection

The best thing you could do is catch the exception(if any) and check if the function throws this exception.

Re: Nokia 6131 NFC reading Electronic Passport

    Hi,

that is very interesting! Were you able to do some kind of communication from within a midlet with the passport? And what was in 14443-B mode, the mobile or the reader?
    thanks!

Re: Nokia 6131 NFC reading Electronic Passport

That is quite logical, if the Nokia were using more power for the reader/writer module it could be that the battery needs to be recharged every day. And end-users don't want that.

    Hi,
according to my information the Nokia 6131 contains a NXP PN511 or PN531 which is only capable of detecting ISO14443A/Mifare or Felica. Where did you get this information, did you test or did...

Re: Nokia 6131 NFC reading Electronic Passport

It could also be that your passport complies to the ISO14443 type B standard with which the hardware in the Nokia 6131 is not compliant.

    Re: Emulation / Secure element

    Hi,

    1. No you can only use ISO14443Connection to communicate with JavaCard Applets. MFStandardConnection is only used to communicate with the emulated Mifare part of the secure element.
