    Hi Yaron,

did you solved this problem? I have the same problem here with the emulator of 2nd edition FP3 and Java 1.6.

  2. Re: Updating a Symbian signed application with a selfsigned update

Thank you for your hint. It seems to work now, but I have to use a SISAPP type sis file with a different UID. It would be better if I could use the type PARTIALUPGRADE or SISPATCH, because it makes...
  3. Updating a Symbian signed application with a selfsigned update

    Hello,

I have the following problem. I created an application that needs to be Symbian signed because it needs some capabilities. This application needs a license file as well, which is bound to...

Re: Error creating signed .sis file

If you want to use your RSA keys with createsis you can patch the createsis.pl perl script in C:\Symbian\9.1\S60_3rd_MR\Epoc32\tools. Just search for the signsis calls and change the "-cd" parameter...

Re: Handle exit command from "End Call" key

You are right, your code is working.

I forgot to post a message, that my code works finally also. I do not know, why it does not work before I wrote my last post.

    Cheers, Mario

Tell mifconv to use bitmap (bmp) files and use the /H command line switch.

    Re: Problem with CActiveSchedulerWait

That does not work also. The application just hangs. Therefore I tried the workaround with CActiveSchedulerWait.

    Re: Problem with CActiveSchedulerWait

Yes, you are right. That is possible. But I want to get the IMEI synchronously and therefore I have to wait until the callback happens.

Any hints how this can be done without the...

    Re: Problem with CActiveSchedulerWait

I tried it, but it doesn't work.

In the mentioned video example from Nokia the iWait variable is used in the same way I do, i.e. without an explicit initialization.

    Re: Problem with CActiveSchedulerWait

Okay, I wrote a class that fetches the phone information and calls the callback function InformationFetched() then.

    Re: Problem with CActiveSchedulerWait

First, thank you all for your comments.

I used the video example from Nokia (http://www.forum.nokia.com/main/0,6566,1_32_30,00.html#cv) as base. There is no initialization of iWait and there is...

    Re: Problem with CActiveSchedulerWait

No, I try to use this code in a larger project to make an asynchronous function call synchronous.

I call an asynchronous function and after this I call iWait.Start(). In the callback function of...

Re: Application crashs without an error message

Thanks, but there is no S60 3rd edition version of TaskSpy. To enabled extended error messages on pre 3rd edition devices you have to put a file named 'ErrRd' into C:\system\Bootdata.
