  1. Re: How implement a "back" key? when I have two level of windows?

    You can do something like:

    def back():
    appuifw.app.body = lb

    appuifw.app.exit_key_handler = back

    Just a easier reference for those who will look for this later :)

    Re: Form without Save changes dialog

    It's a standard function of a Form. You have to either try to chance this coding in Symbian C++ (as gaba88 said) or substitute the form by listboxes and queries.

    Good luck,

    Re: Horizontal Scrolling in Listbox

    I guess the only way of doing this through PyS60 is by creating your own listbox on canvas (we have a good example of this here) and implementing a code for horizontal scrolling.

    Good luck,

    Re: Binding modified key in Canvas

    I am almost sure you can't bind a combination of keys, but I think you can detect it using the event callback. See this quote from the documentation:

    So use ['modifiers'] for detection of...

    Have you tried ETrue as the docs say? What do you get when you use it?

    Re: sports mode code ?

    You can check all functions available in pycamera module on this article.

    Hope this helps,
  8. Re: How to read contacts database in SIM card ?

    I'm not sure if this is possible. We've discussed about it in this thread and one user reported it isn't possible to read SIM contacts and the other said that contacts module shows both phone and SIM...

    Re: Make my own icon in listbox?

    You'll need your icon to be in .mbm extension, I guess SVG won't work. You can have a good sample code chacking FlagIcon48, developed by Jouni Miettunen.

    Hope this helps,

    Re: How to update a form

    Try moving your fields list into the accelerometer callback:

    import sensor, appuifw, e32

    app_lock = e32.Ao_lock()
    def quit():
    acc.disconnect()
    app_lock.signal()

    Re: unicode('èè')?

    Have you tried decoding the string? For example:

    print "your string".decode("utf-8")

    Hope it helps,
  14. Re: How to interrupt ongoing calculations when new callback comes?

    It would be much better to answer if we could see the code. I guess there is no way to give a solution without checking how your application is working with the current code :rolleyes:

    Re: Filtering data from accelerometer

    Well, this is quite simple: if x<0, it means the phone is tilted to the left, and if x>0, it's tilted to the right.

    Hope it helps,

    Re: Application exit!

    I guess there's no need to clear the canvas inside the exit function. Maybe c.clear() is slowing down the exit a little bit ... Have you tried taking that off?

  18. Re: Sources of PyS60’s standard functions (particularly appuifw.query)

    As far as I know, it would be necessary to modify the C++ code of the appuifw module and recompile it to make this possible. As Bogdan said, the C++ source file would be appuifwmodule.cpp :)

    Re: Print out calendar entries

    Hi,

    I guess you should try adding the text to your body from inside the loop:

    cal = e32calendar.open()
    t = appuifw.Text()
    appuifw.app.body = t

    for i in cal:

    Re: Creating multiple views in python

    Hi,

    First of all, save your menu options into to different variables:

    menu1 = [(u"Option 1", callback), (u"Option 2", callback)]
    menu2 = [(u"Option 3", callback), (u"Option 4", callback)]

    Well, it would help if you post your code for us to analyze. And what exactly is running slow? Drawing that image on your canvas?

    Hi Patrick,

    if data is None:

  25. Re: Bug with telephone.call_state(handle_call) ?

    Hi guenimi,

    I guess the call states are only detected in an incoming call, so it will not work when you use telephone.dial().

    BR,

    Rafael, happy to be back at this forum :)
