    Re: Qt development kit is a mess

    And specifically what is your problem with this?

    This is because bearer in Mobility is depreciated and not maintained since it is now in Qt.

    Is it that difficult to run configure?
  5. Re: Can I use Qt to develop app for any Series 60 v3 and v5 devices?

    You can target v3 and v5 devices, but your users will just have to install Qt packages as well.

  7. Re: 'ISO C++ forbids declaration of ‘QSystemDeviceInfo’ with no type' in QT SDK for L

    The QtSDK does not have QtMobility for the desktop target. You will need to use the simulator or a device target.
  8. Re: How can i disable the display timeout of the device?

    You can temporarily inhibit the screensaver using

    QSystemScreenSaver::setScreenSaverInhibit()
    from QtSystemInfo API.

    Re: Wi-Fi availability for Qt

    BearerManagement is found in both QtMobility and Qt 4.7, but has been depreciated in QtMobility.
    If you are using Qt 4.6, you will have to use QtMobility's bearermanagement.

    Re: how to check Qt Mobility version?

    There is a runtime check in QSystemInfo for version later than 1.1

    QSystemInfo::version(QSystemInfo::QtMobility); will return a string.

    Re: How to prevent backlight dimming?

    That grid is not too descriptive, but the SceenSaverInhibit works for maemo5

    In the least you could see how it's done with QtDBus.
  14. Re: Specific instruction on building QTMessaging for Win32?

    The mapi stuff should be included with the Windows Platform SDK

    C:\Program Files\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v6.0A\Include\MAPIGuid.h
    C:\Program Files\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v6.1\Include\MAPIGuid.h

    Re: How to prevent backlight dimming?

    QSystemInfo API from the Qt Mobility project has a function to do this.

    QSystemScreenSaver::setScreenSaverInhibit()

    Will inhibit the blanking for the life of the QSystemScreenSaver object
