    I tried to start emulator from start menu, from the command line, and from the carbid. The result is the same :(.

    I have the same problem. The only message I could see was the following: No source available for "0x1dbc977(ekern.exe)()". It was in debug window. I have all my security options off.

    yes you are right. My EPOCROOT is set like you wrote, but this doesn't work. I've installed perl which version is higher than 5.6.1. can this be the reason?
