  1. Re: Symbian^3 SDK 1.0 + GCCE 4.4.1 + SBSv2 + Carbide.c++ 2.6: does it work?

Thank you. I still require the old S60 3rd ed SDKs for a while so can't upgrade to Carbide 3.x yet.

The S^3 SDK does appear. It's just that Carbide only shows the winscw and armv5 build...

    Symbian^3 SDK 1.0 + GCCE 4.4.1 + SBSv2 + Carbide.c++ 2.6: does it work?

GCCE 4.4.1 was installed with the Symbian^3 SDK 1.0 and I can see the environment variables for it, but Carbide only shows...

    Re: software sound mixer

The RGA audio APIs provide a sound mixer. They might be what you're looking for.

  4. Re: Image decoding during incoming call (S60 5th edition)

If the same application code works OK on the 3rd Ed phones like E75 and N81, then my initial guess about the "DSP competition" is probably not entirely correct. I was guessing that maybe N73, N93,...
  5. Re: Image decoding during incoming call (S60 5th edition)

    Hi Dmitry,

On which S60 3rd Edition phones did the JPEG decoding during phone ringing work OK for you?

Have you tried changing the ring tone to be an uncompressed "wave" file instead of an AAC...

    Re: CMdaAudioOutputStream

    No one answered yet?

The reason for the "discrepancy" is that the N86 and N96 are based on different hardware architectures.

For multimedia development purposes, just knowing that a phone runs...

Re: RConnection and RHTTP session under V9

My application has two separate components that use the same RConnection. One component uses HTTPClient and the second one does not. Another thing is that it's possible that either component, or...

Re: RConnection and RHTTP session under V9

I am also seeing this RConnection-destroying behaviour of RHTTPSession in S60 5.0. Has anyone ever seen an answer to the original poster's question?

If not, it's time to update the SDK...

Re: Best Way to Update SDK Documentation?

    Thank you.

I got it to work without losing much disk space following your option #1. It would have been a bit easier if the updated docs' JAR files followed the same naming convention as the...

Best Way to Update SDK Documentation?

    Hi,

A newer version of S60 5.0 documentation is available here:

  12. Re: Carbide.c++ Express! cannot connect to online help

Similar problem in my environment. No online help, only Error 500.

Turning off IE's "friendly" error messages gave me:

[code=CANT_CONNECT_LOOPBACK] Cannot connect due to potential loopback...

Re: System Error on phone; runs fine in emulator

There is no EPOCWIND_OUT file on the phone.

If you have modified prototype hardware, you can see debug output on the PC using a serial cable and a terminal emulator. This output comes from...

Re: How To Replace With File Already in Use

Symbian / S60 APIs are available to work with some of the files that are already in use.

Example: See class methods of CContactDatabase for Contacts.cdb.

Is that the type of thing you're...

Re: System Error on phone; runs fine in emulator

Depending on how much memory your app uses you may need to adjust values for EPOCSTACKSIZE and EPOCHEAPSIZE in your MMP file.

Maybe you're using some libraries that you didn't include in your MMP?...
