    To be more precise ... i found out that i totally missed the concept of public browse group.
    My service was not added to the public browser group and therefore was not visible by the sdptool browse...

    i finally found my problem :)
    I tried using sdptool records address instead of sdptool browse address and .... my service appeard !
    So as you pointed out, browsing with bluez is picky.

    i agree with your analysis. For searching i'm using sdptool browse device-address.
    In the listing i get, my service does not show up.
