  1. Re: Flash Lite thinks it needs internet for local connection

    Hey Kevin,

    I'm extremely busy at the moment, but I can help you more in a couple of days after my deadline...
    Basically you should try an XML-server instead of a http server. I used Flyer for...
  2. Re: [split/moved] Re: Memory leak and accelerometer data

    I got an update from Nokia:

    We are able to reproduce the issue and have already reported this bug in our internal error database. If a fix is found, it will be implemented in future firmware...
  3. Re: [split/moved] Re: Memory leak and accelerometer data

    I reported the bug to Nokia, but it'll probably take some time. There is no workaround that I know of within Flash. For my application, it was OK to use a combination of python and flash lite, so I...
  4. Re: Flash Lite thinks it needs internet for local connection

    Hey Sajid,

    OK, will try to see if it makes a difference!

    By the way, didn't you have a problem with a delay of 1 second between data from python to FL? Because I'm not having that, accelerodata...
  5. Re: Flash Lite thinks it needs internet for local connection

    That's strange, in my program, if there is no connection (or if you choose "no), the connection fails...
  6. Flash Lite thinks it needs internet for local connection

    Hi all,

    I'm working with a socket connection between flash lite and python on a nokia 5800, which works well. However the Flash lite player (or my phone?) thinks that it needs an internet...

    Python doesn't write text file on phone

    Hi all,

    I made a simple script that works on my PC, but doesn't on my phone. It's just this:

    filename = "test83.txt"

    x = 'hello world'

    FILE = open(filename,"w")

    Re: Extending Flyer to S60v5

    After some tests with 1.9.5 I conclude that it is indeed something with the line:

    (client, addr) = self.serv.accept()

    However, it is better than I thought. In 1.4.5 you can still interact...

    Re: Extending Flyer to S60v5

    Thanks Sajid!!

    I downgraded everything to 1.4.5 and then it worked splendidly!

    Extending Flyer to S60v5

    Hi all,

    I am trying to use the flyer framework to send data from python to flash lite. Unfortunately, it does not work on my phone, a nokia 5800. I guess this is because flyer was written for...
  11. Re: [split/moved] Re: Memory leak and accelerometer data

    Do you have the source files of those tests between Flash Lite and Python/C++? Maybe I can help solve the issue...
  12. Re: [split/moved] Re: Memory leak and accelerometer data

    Hey Sajid,

    What do you mean it was slow? Was there a delay between the sensor action and when flash lite received it? If so, how much? Less or more than a second?

    Re: make c++ app send data to flash lite app

    Thanks for your answer. The sensor API was the first thing I tried, the problem is however there is an error in the API itself which makes every application using accelerometer data crash between...

    make c++ app send data to flash lite app

    Dear all,

    I'm trying to make a simple c++ application that harvests the accelerometer data from the internal phone sensors of a nokia 5800, and then sends them to a Flash Lite application. I am...
  15. Re: [split/moved] Re: Memory leak and accelerometer data

    Ok, so it's not just in FL, also in WRT! Then it is probably a symbian bug rather than a FL problem. It is almost as if symbian stores all of the accelerodata outside of Flash Lite, and then the...
  16. Re: [split/moved] Re: Memory leak and accelerometer data

    OK, guys - here's the code that keeps crashing. I brought it down to only the necessary part. The callback function at the bottom causes the crash; if I remove it, the program keeps running. Normally...
  17. Re: Does anyone have the service API on their computer??

    Yes, I just saw it works again, sorry for the panic! :o
  18. Does anyone have the service API on their computer??

    Hi all,

    Does anyone have the S60 actionscript API on their harddrive? It's the file S60_ActionScript_API_library_1_0.zip
    I switched computers and don't have it on this one, so I just tried to...
  19. Re: [split/moved] Re: Memory leak and accelerometer data

    Thanks for the comments guys!

    I have used a few apps with arrays, but always pushed the data after more than 16 entries (with array.push()). Some other apps did not use arrays whatsoever and still...
  20. [split/moved] Re: Memory leak and accelerometer data

    I'm sorry if I'm posting in the wrong forum, because my platform is flash lite for nokia s60, but I have the exact same problem and this was the only thread I could find.
    Whenever I do anything with...
  21. Re: keep 'music player'-music going while using flash sounds

    Thanks again Sajid!
  22. keep 'music player'-music going while using flash sounds

    Hi,

    I'm doing tests on a nokia 5800, and I noticed that you can put on music through the normal 5800 music player, which keeps playing when I start my flash file (.swf). This is also what I want,...

    controlling vibration intensity

    Hi all,

    I'm using the service api in flash to control the vibration function in a nokia 5800:

    fscommand2("StartVibrate", vibra_on, vibra_off, vibra_repeat);

    This works well. However, I was...

    Re: problems with flash lite on 5800

    OK, I figured it out after some help elsewhere. Apparently you need flash lite 3.1 for this function, while 5800 comes with 3.0. After the update it was fine.
