    Re: removing vodaphone information

You can use Nokia PC Suite to update the firmware in your phone. That reset the system in your phone, and maybe fix some old OS bugs. :-)

Re: cannot read and open data selected

Look at JSR-75, FileConnection API overview.

Also, narrowing down your try-catch structures may help you find the problems.

    Re: N70 vm inconsistent behavior

    Too subjective..
Maybe you should provide objective details for your thread. Code samples, outputs, etc.

Re: problem with FileConection in 6230i

    Hi motish,

Are you checking the PDA profile for J2ME in the settings in WTK tool?
It also sounds like a .jad and manifest.mf problem.. Check if those match their values.

Re: How to change default file assosiation?

I don't think you change that through a J2ME application.
But, as everybody is saying around here, check the www.midpjni.com to use jni to do that.

    Re: Question about TextField implementation

You cannot change the way the TextField will be implemented on different phones..
    You could try CustomItems though.
