I initially created a basic container for my application using the UI designer in Carbide.c++. Later I had to add some capabilities and got a UID assigned from Symbian so I changed the UIDs in the project properties and made sure that it was correctly updated everywhere in the code.
Everything OK so far...
Yesterday I added a new view to my application using the UI designer. After adding this view my application closed on startup with a system error. I traced this to the application UID having been changed back to the original UID generated by Carbide in the generated code region in the application header. Everywhere else in the project my new UID was still in place. I have had to edit the "do not modify" generated region to get the application to work.
Is this original UID stored somewhere that I can edit it so this doesn't happen again? If not, can we make sure the UID is taken from the project properties, or left to the user to modify after the initial generation in future versions?
