Re: Problem to add data into .mmp file in carbide

    Hi,

Are you using Carbide.c++? If so, it doesn't use the mmp file. You can just copy your file to the data directory in the project and add an entry to the .pkg file that will copy it to the correct location on the device (you might have to copy to the correct location on the emulator manually - you can add a custom build step to copy it there every time but that is not really necessary).

    Hope that helps,

Re: Problem to add data into .mmp file in carbide

    Hi,

I don't think there is any difference in the Pro version of Carbide for this. I'm using the developer version and it is the same as express. It is just the way the build tools are integrated.

You could add data files to the mmp file and then import your project again from the mmp, that should work. However it is probably better to learn how to use Carbide directly.

I think I didn't read your original question correctly. Are you actually trying to add a bmp file that will be converted to an mbm as part of the build?

If you look in the project pane in Carbide (left hand side by default) and select the directory in the project structure called "gfx" then there is an entry in there called <project_name>_mbm.mbmdef. If you double-click on that to open it you'll get an interface that allows you at add new bitmaps to the mbm file.

Hope that is what you are looking for.
