As far as I know you need to put it into the sys\bin. Anyway, all you need to change is, to pack the dll into a sis file and after downloading the sis, just run the it with document handler, and the installer will start installing it, and in the end, installer will put the dll file into a right place.

Here is the official Symbian policy:

    http://www3.symbian.com/faq.nsf/AllB...8?OpenDocument

You will need to put each dll into a sis file and sign that sis file.

If your app attempts to search for specific file anmes, you will also need to port those dll's to be ECom interfaces.

Re: dll linking and platform security

There is a fairly comprehensive document handler sample and example on the Forum Nokia site.

It depends on how they are specified in the .pkg file. There are new options for installing sis files, including marking the sis file as an upgrade or an update.

If you mark it as neither then you each will appear as a seperate installation in the installed applications list.
