Regarding SoftId Certificates in NMIT under WIM

    Hi All,

In Nokia Mobile Internet Toolkit under WIM Panel the "softid" WIM details are displayed.
Under Certificates node there are two types of certificates.
    1)Soft Id User Authentication Cert
    2)Soft Id Non Repudiation Cert.
Could you please let me know what is difference those two types of certicates and when they are going to use them.

RE: Regarding SoftId Certificates in NMIT under WIM

The purpose of the User Authentication Cert is to enable the user to prove he is, who he says he is, through the use of a digital signature. The Non-repudiation Cert enables the user to digitally sign
data in such a way as to prevent that user from denying it after the fact. This latter type is typically used in E-Business to confirm electronic purchases.

For more detailed information about using WIM and certificates in the Toolkit, see Nokia Mobile Internet Toolkit 3.1 Users Guide at page 51.

    Kind regards,
