Question Question about "Backup and Restore Compliance"

    Hi all,

If my application does NOT want to backup any file for restore, should I still write a backup registration file?

On "Symbian Signed Test Criteria 2.11.0", it's said "Note that applications and data are not automatically backed up on Symbian OS v9 phones. You must explicitly register with the backup server to do this."

    Anybody help me!

    Thanks!

In that case you shouldn't write backup registration file. Instead, write clearly to your readme-file that you don't want to register to backup/restore server and you want exception EX-011 to be applied.

Yes, you're right! I've got reply from symbiansigned@symbian.com.

    Thanks very much anyway!
