    Carbide.j 1.5 unstable with Netbeans 5.5?

    Dear all,

I am using the IDE Netbeans 5.5 and I have successufully integrated the Carbide.j under Netbeans 5.5.

Unfortunately, I have noticed that using the Carbide.j under netbeans is very unstable. For example, the. flw can not be displayed sometimes properly and it needs time in order to be refreshed(especially when new gui components have been added)

Secondly, the "New Applictaion Pacjkage" button sometimes is disbaled.

From the installation guide, I read that the Carbide.j 1.5 can be installed under netbeans 5.0

I would like to ask you if there is any update for Netbeans 5.5.

I am writing also the full exception message I received while I am opening the netbeans 5.5.

P.S: I have sent this message to netbeans community also.

    I really appreciate you assistance.

    Re: Carbide.j 1.5 unstable with Netbeans 5.5?

    Hi kalgik,

I think Carbide.j is a great tool but I've never integrated it into NetBeans, I am using it on Eclipse.

However, I am also using NetBeans for mobile development for 6+ months now (started using NB 5.5 Beta 1) and it's very stable.

I advise you to use the NetBeans Mobility Pack 5.5 instead of Carbide.j if you cannot solve the problems you're reporting. Using this configuration you can use all the Nokia SDKs with no problem, they're on my desk everyday...

    Best,

    Re: Carbide.j 1.5 unstable with Netbeans 5.5?

    Hi jonneymendoza.

    Unfortunately, I did not find.

I am using NetBeans mobility pack, and I have integrated the Nokia Prototype SDK 4.0 under NetBeans 5.5 from Java Platfom Manager.

I am using these emultors as juarezjunior suggests me.

To be honest, now it works in "stable" way.

    Reagrds,

    Re: Carbide.j 1.5 unstable with Netbeans 5.5?

    Hi jonneymendoza,

At first, install Nokia Prototype SDK 4.0,
Then, from NetBeans, select Tools->Java Platform Manager and add platform at J2ME.Then select Java Micro Edition Platfom Emulator.

Netbeans will search for Nokia Prototype's Emulator's.

    I hope I helped you.
