Installing apps in the desktop, 3rd edition.

    Hi,
I like to know how would it be possible to put up the application in the desktop rather than in the applications folder of 3rd edition devices as yucca have done for Y-Browser .

Could any one suggest on this.

    Regards

Well, Its not that i want to install in the emulator, Hope you have tried installing a application in the 3rd edition devices. The application would be placed in the applications folder. But if you try out Y-Browser you would find it in the desktop rather than in the applications folder. I wanted to know how could that be possible, i mean is there any apis related to this or any tricks behind this!

Note this is normally a bad thing to do as users cannot find it easily due to the fact they look in th installed folder first.

I would add to Paul.Todd's comment that while a folder like "Yukka's Tools" can be created there is no support for localization for such folders so its name will remain the same even if you change phone's language to ... Romanian. And yes, it works for 3rd Edition too only but the group must be specified in the registration resources.
