    platformRequest(String URL)

    Is't possible to keep the midlet to run as background after call platformRequest method?

    Look like series 60 handset can handle the background midlet. but anyone know about other manufacturer (E.g. sony erisson, motorola?)

    Yes, it is better to check the platform request manual for the explainations.
    It depends on the device.
