    RTSP VIDEO STREAMING

Do u know where to find RNEngineUser.cfg? i seeked it everywhere in my N73 but failed.

And did u play RTSP video streams with the realplay in the phone? I tried to play them but always get a "timeont" errer? Is it the problem fo speed or bandwidth?

it could be firewall blocking the connection reguest, also incorrect file-address/name can couse this.

Here's some links that should work : http://www.yle.fi/podcast2.html
They are all in lovely-Finnish language, but at least will give you some working streams.

    Re: RTSP VIDEO STREAMING

    Hi,

RTSP video streaming works fine in the RealPlayer on my N73. If the operator firewall is blocking RTSP to external sites then there is nothing you can do but change operator (or sometimes change the APN you are using with the same operator). The operator may have some video files you can stream on their portal and they aren't letting you access any others.

I can't find RNEngineUser.cfg in my N73, it may not be there at all (I don't think it is actually necessary, it over-rides settings in the platform configuration). It might be in a hidden directory. On my N80 there is one in the top level visible in the file manager c:\Data.

    Hope that helps,

Thank you for your reply. Where do you live? I am in China. In China, there is not 3G service yet,so I can only connect the internet with GPRS which is terrible for video streaming. The operator I use maybe set the firewall, which I am not sure.

What can I do in this no-3G world?

    Re: RTSP VIDEO STREAMING

I live in the UK. Here some operators block RTSP and some don't. You can stream video via WLAN on some phones (N80, N93, N95 etc). Video streaming is quite poor on GPRS. There is not much you can do. It is better with EDGE, some operators may upgrade to support that?

    Not much help I know.
