    Binaries produced by GCCE for 9.1 are larger than S60 2nd ones

    Binaries produced by GCCE (the CSL ARM gcc toolchain) for 9.1 are larger than what we’ve been used to. A suggested solution is to purchase RVCT from ARM

    Do you know a cheaper solution???

    Thanks

    Try Changing the Compiler Setting to Optimize for Size.

    You might be right.
    But I imagine that Nokia has disabled optimizations for some reason.
    Maybe there are bugs in optimization phase (I don't know).

    Bye! Nice weekend!

    See "GCCE ’support’ in the 3rd edition SDK" at Mika Raento’s blog.

    Just Do as follows. it works for me.

    Go to Epoc32\tools\compilation_config

    Edit gcce.mk

    change
    # Optimization Level in RELEASE mode
    REL_OPTIMISATION=-O2 -fno-unit-at-a-time
    to:
    # Optimization Level in RELEASE mode
    REL_OPTIMISATION=-O1 -fno-unit-at-a-time
