I read this alarming article on the how U.S and I'm certain other governments can tap
into the mobile phone mics of a unsuspecting individuals even when they appear to be off.

I was wondering how this could be thwarted on a Symbian OS series 60 device.

How are the applications installed? via WAP, or over other data providers?

Is the communication or commdb and its hidden providers a back door for such a spyware applications?

Below is a link to a snapshot of my commdb which has quite a few hidden dataprovider which makes me wonder?

I'm a Cingular Mobile Customer in the U.S maybe some of you other developers would want to post your commdbs for comparison and we can all get to the bottom of this.
