    Unhappy Hello World

    Hello,

I am new to Symbian C++ and thus wanted to ask a very basic question: How can I create a "HelloWorld" program that I can test on a S60 emulator.

I've been digging around, but to no avail.

    Thank you

I think all the normally used IDEs (carbide.c++, Visual Studio /w carbide.vs, and codewarrior) have application wizards that can genereate helloworld applications..

Additionally if you check the S60Ex or Series60Ex folder in your SDK there should also be a helloworld project..

    Re: Hello World

Thanks. I used Carbide c++ to generate a Hello World project.

In the emulator, I get the following error: "Application closed ncnlist KERN-EXEC 3".

Alternatively, if I try to deploy it on the phone, I get "Unable to install protected application from an untrusted supplier".

And it'd not even an app I wrote ... sigh....

    Re: Hello World

    Hi,
The error with ncnlist has been mentioned here before.. It should not affect your use of the emulator, and you should still be able to test your application in the emulator..

    Check here: http://discussion.forum.nokia.com/fo...list+KERN-EXEC
