    SDK problem!!!

I'm a new beginning developer. I installed SDK for S60 2nd Edition FP2, and started learning my first step. The first project was the Hello World Basic project. When I tried to convert the mmp file of the project into vcproj using the makmake command, the following message appears:
"'perl' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
    operable program or batch file."

I'm using both Windows XP and 2000 DataCenter Server, and Visual Studio .NET 2005 IDE.

Can any one help me to start?

have a look into the release note for the SDK, it requires active pearl & Java runtime to be installed.

Also I think your windows path variable should have a path for the pearl defined in it.

Also note it is not sure that you will succeed with VS 2005.
2nd ed. FP2 "WINS" supports VS6, VS.Net (maybe VS 2003 too, I am not sure)
2nd ed. FP2 "CW" supports CodeWarrior (that is the "CW" for; 90-day trial is available for download on Forum Nokia, Tools/...), and various Carbide configurations (all Carbide.c++ releases - express is free, the other two are not - trials might be available; and Carbide.vs which needs VS 2003, but is incompatible with VS 2005). Carbides can be also downloaded from Forum Nokia.
