    Problem with signing

    Hi
    i did the following and i"m getting the following errors can someone help me

    1) i have generated a sis file using makesis and uid is 0xA01F5467

    2) make keys i get the following error

    M:\ImageConverter_v2_0\ImageConverterExample\sis>makekeys -cert -password sssss -dname "CN=Image OU=Emuzed O=Aricent C=gb Em=aa@bb.com" ImageConverter.key Image
    Converter.cer
    Generating private key...................................................
    A DSA private key has been generated with a keylength of 1024 bits
    ** Error formatting Distinguished Name!

    guys that problem has been sorted out but now i get this error on the mobile
    device that is certificates validity date does not match that of the device

    Make sure that your PC date-time is not of past/future(while creating certificate) than that of phone's date-time.
    Synchronize date at both side. (More or Less)

    Try following
    before creating the certificate its good to set ur computer's time just same as your phone's time (almost same), then u can install application right after creating it.

    one more thing to notice. if you request for the certificate from the third party(not ur computer neither ur phone), just like u request for the certificate from Symbian Signed via a .CSR file, and Symbian Signed return a certificate to u, Remember there is not ur computer's date time involved.
    the Phone's datetime now must be syncronized with the Symbian Signed server.
    Not to worry about that. just double click the certificate file (.cer) that is returned to u from Symbian Signed.
    Look for the following fields in Detail tab.
    1 Valid From
    2 Valid To

    so now ur phone's date time must be lying in it.
