    CBrCtlInterface in Symbian 9.2

    Hi all,

    I'm using CBrCtlInterface in Symbian 9.1, and the control is placed in top of the screen (above status pane).

    When using the same app in Symbian 9.2, the control are now placed below status pane.

    So, is there difference regarding screen position in 9.1 and 9.2..?

    Regards,
    Anwar

    Re: CBrCtlInterface in Symbian 9.2

    Hi,
    I've used the CBrCtlInterface in my application and I've a problem.I hope you can help me.I've defined a container and a view for my browsercontrol.
    The problem is that I've this message error:undefined symbol CBrCtlInterface* CreateBrowserControlL although I 've included the necessary files.
    I think that the problem is caused by NewL and NewLC in my container because when I referred to the Nokia exemple, it used only constructL().But the problem is tha I can't ommit NewL (it's called in the view).
    Have you any idea how can I solve this?
    thanks in advance.

    Talking Re: CBrCtlInterface in Symbian 9.2

    Hello alipanwar,

    It is also happening for me the same. Did you find out why it is not placed on the top the embedded web browser? I have just tried on the emulator.

    I have another question:

    I have tried to pass the IAP id as parameter to the CBrCtlInterface. However, it still shows a dialog for selecting an IAP? Any ideas...

    iBrCtlInterface->SetBrowserSettingL(TBrCtlDefs::ESettingsApId, aApId);

    Thank you :),

    The position of the browser is because the Nokia guys have changed the meaning of the ract passed as argument. Now the position is relative to the parent controller. So the following should be done:

    m_pBrCtlInterface = CreateBrowserControlL( this,
    TRect(TPoint(0,0),aRect.Size()),
    iBrCtlCapabilities,
    iCommandBase,
    NULL,
    NULL,
    NULL,
    NULL,
    NULL);

    I am facing a weird problem. I am loading a webapge which contains several text forms. I can jump from form to form smoothly using the joystick. The problem comes up, when I start filling up one form. When I press down to jump to the next form, the view dissapears. Probably, the CBrCtlInterface crashes somehow. I have not idea whats going on. Any clue?

    The browser cappabilities are the following:

    iBrCtlCapabilities = TBrCtlDefs::ECapabilityDisplayScrollBar | TBrCtlDefs::ECapabilityLoadHttpFw | TBrCtlDefs::ECapabilityCursorNavigation ;

    Thanks

    it is strange...it seems that the the cba_rigth (softkey)command is launched everytime I stop editing a form and try to jump to the next form....

    I would like to position the browser control depending from the OS version, but I haven't found a reliable method to retrieve the version number. User::Version delivers something like 2.0.1177 on a Symbian 9.2 device and 2.0.1055 on a Symbian 9.1 device. I think, it's a little bit uncertain to rely on the build number only.

    How can I identify Symbian 9.2? Is there a function comparable to GetVersionEx in Windows (Mobile)?

    Ishibo San
