    Nokia 6131 NFC Push Registry

    Example for autostart or?

    ndef:rtd?name=urn:nfc:wkt:RFID_TAG ?
ndef.... = is ok in Push Registry

my problem = autostart with TAG and start my applikation!

    MIDP 2.0 with ndef:rtd?name= -> ok.

my applikation work fine and no problem with NDEF_Tag and RFID_TAG.

    Or
    ndef:rtd?name=urn:nfc:wkt:XXXX with Class NDEFRecordType
    to
    ndef:rtd?name=urn:nfc:wkt:NFC_FORUM_RTD
    - Record type name format identifier for the NFC Forum Record Type Description.

Re: Nokia 6131 NFC Push Registry

If I understand your problem correctly, you make a mismatch between the header byte TNF bits and Type byte in NDEF Record.

    Example:

TNF bits: 001 for NFC Forum well-known-type (NFC_FORUM_RTD)

    use for Record Type Uri
    .....:wkt:'U'

    for Text
    .....:wkt:'T'

    I hope it helps.

Re: Nokia 6131 NFC Push Registry

    Hi,

I'm a beginner in the NFC Push Registry and TAG. I'm trying to achive what mariosas trying to do - autostart of MIDlet upon detecting a tag. I have a SmartPoster tag which works with Nokia 6131 'Tag Detection', upon detecting the tag, the handset browser start automatically.

I downloaded a sample (TagTestMidlet) from Nokia 6131 NFC - FAQs, the MIDlet can read the tag and display the following details but the Push Registry never work. Whenever, I put the tag near the phone, the browser will start rather than the MIDlet.

    Tag type: mf1k
    Record type: Sp
    Record format: 1
    Record paylod: 91010C54....
    Record in bytes: D1022B53709....

I tried to register the midlet with the following options, none of it work.

    1. MIDlet to do the push registry registration
    PushRegistry.registerConnection("ndef:rtd?name=urn:nfc:wkt:T",
    "com.nokia.nfc.sample.app.TagTestMidlet", "*");

    2. Include the Push Registry registration in the JAD file
    MIDlet-Push-1: ndef:rtd?name=urn:nfc:wkt:Sp, TagTestMidlet, *

    Any advice?

Re: Nokia 6131 NFC Push Registry

    Thanks for the answers.

install midlet with static .jad entry
    ndef:rtd?name=urn:nfc:wkt:RFID_TAG - in the jad = ok
    ndef:rtd?name=urn:nfc:wkt:NDEF_TAG - in the jad = ok
    ndef:rtd?name=urn:nfc:wkt:U - in the jad = ok
    ndef:rtd?name=urn:nfc:wkt:T - in the jad = ok
ndef:rtd?name=urn:nfc:wkt:Sp - in the jad = not ok and clean from the jad

Im have UL Tag's with targettyp
    rfid_tag
    ndef_tag

    install und working is ok.
    no autostart.
NFC 6131 NFC - standard NFC function = off

    more entrys for the jad?

    Two questions.
1 - which address displays your browser?
2 - did your MIDlet has the permission
    "javax.microedition.io.PushRegistry"

Re: Nokia 6131 NFC Push Registry

    Hi yakdogan,

When the tag is within the proximity of the handset, an alert will popup which display the URL transmitted to the tag earlier, if I proceed browser will start and launch the URL. Fyi, I did a transmit tag through the Nokia 6131 NFC handset.

The MIDlet JAD file does contained the PushRegistry permission.

Please advice if you need more information. Many thanks

    Hi Fido,

i have the feeling, everything works fine at your phone. Your MIDlet allready started and did, what it should do.

One of the Records in the example TestTagMidlet is action Record and its action value set to 0. It means "Do the action". On this case launch the browser.

    Regards.

Re: Nokia 6131 NFC Push Registry

    Hi yakdogan,

Finally the auto launch works but not with Sp tag It works if I write the sample nokia string to the tag, midlet can auto launch upon detecting the tag. You did mentioned that there is a sample record in the TagTestMidlet where the action is 'Launch Browser', I couldn't locate it....could you share the sample you have?

My objective is to activate the MIDlet when a tag containing URL is read, any comment on which NDEF record type I should use and do you have any working sample?

    Many thanks.

    Cheers,
    Miki

Re: Nokia 6131 NFC Push Registry

    What about registering for ndef:uri?name=http://www.post.com
Does this work? The http:// is necessary for a complete URI.

Re: Nokia 6131 NFC Push Registry

Here tunes which not! Emulator is not correct hardware!
    PushRegistry and 6131 = problem.
The documentation to the SDK is not correct, regarding the hardware! I have so some attempts undertaken with entries in jad. The result, which install functioned and with one accepts, see one in this Thread. Who has the correct real solution?
