    Exclamation Re: Legacy UID

Hi kkrish.. Tnx for the reply.

Can anybody guess what may the problem that giving me "Unable to install a protected application from an untrusted supplier"

I am using unprotected UID. I tested it on E62 too.. same error

The only hint i am getting is
Hint: If you use self-signed certificate, make sure that your application uses unprotected UID, i.e. 0xA0000000 - 0xAFFFFFFF. If you use protected UID (0x20000000 - 0x2FFFFFFF) or legacy UID (0x10000000 - 0x1FFFFFFF), you will get this message.

    Experts plz guide..

    Thanks

    Set "Software Installation" to "All".
You may find this setting on your phone under:
    Menu->Tools->App. manager->Options->Settings
    Try it out.

    Re: Legacy UID

    Hi Kiran..!

    Tnx for the reply..

I hav done that already..Software installtion: All and Online cert check: off

I have made all the necessary changes in application.cpp,_reg.rss, .pkg, _UID_.cpp, .mmp.

changed the device settings, time setting is ok..

    Cleaned n rebuilt the project..

Previously, my app UID was different(protected)..

I got unprotected UID from symbiansigned.. made chages everywhere..

Works fine on emulator.. then GCCE built..

N facing such problems for long..

    Thanks
