File creation without using FileConnection api

I have a s60 phone (7610) that does not support JSR-75, is there a way I can create files without using the FileConnection api?

I have been able to read/write existing files using the OutputConnection class, but my application needs to have a way to create new files.

I am new to J2ME and mobile development, any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

No way to do it from J2ME without JSR-75 support.

You'd need to write a "native" C++ app, instead of using Java.

Or you can upgrade to a newer phone.

Ok, thank you for the reply. I thought that might be the case, but I wanted confirmation.
