    schedule

    Hi everyone,

I am new to this so, please, be gentle

    Background:
This is my first J2ME application. In my little project I am trying to make a schedule to show what lectures I have each day at the university. I have got the RMS to work, and now ive started on the graphics part.

I would like to have a layout like the build in calender. Days on top, and time of day vertical. If i have a lecture, there should be a square in that time of day. Does that make any sense?

I read Jasons "Considerations for Mobile Game Development" , and now I know it isnt a game, but from what I read, I should use canvas for the graphics part and forms for the input? Is it even possible or feasible to do it otherwise?

Any hints or advice is appreciated.

    Best regards
    Kim

    Re: schedule

You can do it in many ways, but the simplest one is to use the high-level graphics: Forms, Items, etc. This will help you at least to develop the core of the application without touching the low-level graphics. When the high-level GUI will do the job, you can start implementing GUI with the low-level Graphics (I guess at that point it wouldn't be so difficult).

Anyway, here some links for you that might help you:
