    Smile Lucene Search Engine

Hey everyone, I'm new here, and I really need some instructions~

Our teacher told us to implement some kind of search engine using Lucene, and I wanna make it on cellphones, instead of PCs, like other students do. My question is, is it possible to develope a search engine on cellphone using Lucene? If possible, what steps should I take (in general)?

I have more than 5,000 SMS stored in my cellphone, so I think this idea is not bad~

If you are planning to develop a File search application for Mobile with Java, its possible but will be having limited access to the files and folders that could be accessed with Java. Along with that if you are planning to search the SMS that are in the default Inbox of the Mobile, that is not possible for a Java app to access the default Inbox of the mobile.

    Regards
    Gopal
