    close http connection in S40's

This seems to be something of a holy grail. Does anyone out there have any workaround at all for closing a network connection without exiting a java MIDlet on Series 40 phones? We need to keep the java application running, but disconnect GPRS.
    Thanks!

series 40 mobiles only run one application at a time so if u want to go and disconnect the GPRS u will have to exit the midlet but one thing though why u want to disconnect GPRS urself. it disconnects by itself when its not used for a cetain amount of time.

Thanks Nouman. I know this is how things are supposed to work, but unfortunately we have never found this to be the case. We stop all activity, GPRS channel stays open, Vodafone keeps charging. If you have any examples of code which behave as you describe? we'd be interested
