ASCII Devices (E61/E61i, 9xxx): how to find out keyboard layout?

    Hi all,
simulating Number input mode is easy for normal phones, but having a QWERTY layout i ran into the following problem:
Several countries have different layouts (Germany: QWERTZ, France: AERTZ, ...). So the numbers are on other letters but how do I find out which layout the device has?

    Example:
QWERTY: Y is mapped to '3'
QWERTZ: Z is mapped to '3'

Is there a special property telling me what keyboard layout my device uses?

I know that numbers can be entered using the SHIFT key, but in (simulated) number only mode it should be possible without it.

    tnx,
    Thomas

No, there is no such property.

    Hi,

Did you find a solution for this? I'm having the same problem but I can't seem to find a good solution for this.

    Thanks,
