    Unhappy FileConnection problem

    Hi. I'm trying to create a txt file, but when I run my application on the emulator it throws this IOexception: "java.io.IOException #582".
    I´m using nokia s60 2nd Ed FP2 emulator.
    Here is my code:

    Code:
     public void createFolder() {
            try {

                FileConnection filecon = (FileConnection)
    Connector.open("file:///C:/Nokia/Datos");
                if (!filecon.exists()) {
                    System.out.println("makedir");
                    filecon.mkdir();

                }
                filecon.close();
            } catch (IOException ioe) {
                System.out.println(ioe.getMessage());
            }
        }

    The exception appears on the red coloured text.
    Please help me!
    TIA

    Re: FileConnection problem

    I had a quick look through the code and it looks like the problem is with the file path. Give a try with the path "file:///c:/Nokia/Sounds/"

    Regards
    Gopal

    Re: FileConnection problem

    Thanks, I´ve tried with the path "file:///c:/Nokia/Sounds/" but happened the same.
    I don't know how to check if I'm able to READ_WRITE files in that particular folder, but I found another solution: I´ve downloaded nokia s60 2nd Ed FP3 SDK emulator and my code worked fine.
    Thanks!
